Getting started
Two things to craft, four keys to learn. Ten minutes and you are hiding in plain sight.
Getting the gear
You need all four Chameleon pieces. The full set is what unlocks body paint, shrinks you down and hides your name tag; a single piece does nothing.

Then the brush: white wool, string and a stick, stacked in a column.
The four keys
All four are rebindable in the vanilla controls screen.
F with a brush in hand is the one that matters: it freezes you, pulls the camera
back and opens the painting tools. Esc steps back out.
R opens the wheel of poses and disguises. G whistles to
bait a hunter towards you. C lets a hunter crawl into tight spaces.
The first two are covered in Painting & disguises.
The menu
Right-click with the brush in the air to open the menu, or type
/meccha. Same thing: room browser, settings and the in-game help.
In a room, the corner panel shows the room, its leader, the phase, your side and your points. The bar at the top counts the timer and the chameleons still out there.
